Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was born at Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordinand in Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix showed a flair for sports early, and discovered her athletic abilities when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Only 10 weeks after her first tryout she came in second place in the 200 meters in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix completed her high school graduation and signed a professional deal with the sports company Adidas before enrolling at the University of Southern California where she was studying elementary education. Felix's first Olympic medal came at the 2004 Summer Olympics, at Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record running 200m in 22.18 secs. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the world's youngest champion in the 200m. In 2007, she was able to defend the title against her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and was consistently in the top three of athletes in her respective events.
